We had a very old dinosaur converter in our GMC when we got it. Literally this was the original from 1976. Huge, very heavy, and extremely inefficient. As we are working towards getting our rig running on solar and wind power, electrical components like this one are something we take very seriously.
We did a lot of research and talked with several people to not only get the best converter but also one that is reasonably priced. Progressive Dynamics was the one that kept coming up and standing out. They have a variety of amp sizes to fit everyone’s personal needs. Everyone we talked to swore by the quality and performance of these converters. It’s also a trusted upgrade by many GMC Motorhome owners, which is important for us for two reasons. First, our rig is a GMC. Second though, is that these owners put a lot of time and money into their motorhomes, perfecting them, restoring them, and making them “show” ready. They take pride in their RV and in turn chose the best parts for it.
If you are looking at upgrading or just need a converter, you need to seriously consider this one. We highly recommend it.
