Another Trial

Every time we think things are falling back into place financially, another bomb drops. Michael’s truck has decided to die on us. There is something going wrong with the engine (he thinks maybe a lifter). Needless to say this is causing a major upset.

This seems to be our theme: we start to get everything to settle financially, get a little money saved back, and then *bomb* something happens and we are scrambling to figure out how to fix it.  It always seems to be the worse timing too. (I know there are people out there who know exactly what I am talking about) So Miche just started back to regular school (she was homeschooling) and we have to drive her back and forth (bus not available), Michael drives back and forth to the office everyday (M-F), and I have household running, doctors appointments, and such for all the kids.  Two cars, due to timing, is a necessity for us. Now we are down to one! So now we are scrambling to figure out what to do. When we got our tax return back I am buying a van, but that will probably be another month or two. We don’t have very much put back yet, definitely not enough to cover this. Right now, with one car, my schedule would look like this: Wake everyone at 6am, get the kids up and dressed. Get everyone loaded in the car by 7am. Give the babies their milk sippies in the car. Drop Miche off at school, drop Michael off at work, run home and feed the kids breakfast. Play, make the kids lunch, put them down for a nap, get them up and do our snack. Load the kids in the car again, pick Miche up, come home and prep dinner. Load the kids in the car again, go pick up Michael, rush home, feed the kids dinner, baths, get ready for bed, and send them to bed…. I can’t even really fathom putting the kids in the car this many times and all the time in the car, five days a week!  I am starting to freak out. I know we always find a way to make things work… just wondering how we are going to work this out. Just another day at our crazy household.
