9 Months Old
Well the babies are 9 months old and so much has changed with them over the last 3 months. Criton was our first to crawl and stand. He is constantly on the move. He crawls all over the place and is really fast. He also loves to stand and cruise along anything that he can, which includes the outside of his walker.
He has a total of 8 teeth now (four top front and bottom). He is really tall but still our skinny mini. He is also the glue of the group. The girls are absolutely fascinated with him and want to everything he does (especially Haley). He gets them laughing and babbling all the time. It is the cutest thing to watch. He is definitely a boy, trying to get into everything, wants to see how everything works, wants to touch everything and so on. Haley was our last to crawl and stand, but one thing we have learned about her… she does things when she wants to. It’s not that she can’t do certain things, but more of a she won’t until she wants to. I suppose that is hard to explain in words, and more of a “you just have to know her.” She has a total of four teeth right now and more coming in (both front top and bottom). She still holds on to things when standing and hasn’t gotten to the point of letting go and just standing there like Cailtin and Criton, though I am sure it won’t be long. She is very into Criton though and follows him around everywhere. For me that means double trouble but is the cutest thing. Cailtin is very headstrong. When she is trying to do things (like stand on her own) she absolutely doesn’t want any help. She will swat our hands away with a determined look on her face. She is very independent that way I suppose. She was the second to stand on her own though her balance is the best. It is a race to see if she will walk before Criton. Out of all the personality changes hers is the most dramatic. She has turned into such a happy baby, smiling and giggling all the time. She also has the cutest little laugh. I’ll have to record it and post it to our youtube site soon. All the babies have decided that baby food is out. They are now all eating table foods. They love to feed themselves (with fingers) and the mess they make is enormous but is the great to watch. Talk about entertaining. They still get spoon fed some foods as well though they really hate me feeding them. We changed sippies recently as well. We got the straw sippies with the handles and they LOVE them. They drink from them all the time and will drain them, unlike the regular sippies with handles. So if you are having difficulty with your little ones drinking from sippies I highly suggest them. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4489115 They are all sleeping through the night now. Although they go to bed at 7pm they usually wake up at about 6am. They don’t cry though, they just play, talk to each other, and giggle until I get them up at 6:30am. I wish I could get them to sleep till 7am but so far nothing we have tried has worked. I can’t complain though… at least they are sleeping at night so I can sleep at night. Our current schedule looks like this: 6:30am Up, Change Diapers 7am Breakfast and sippies 8am bottle 9am Nap 10:30am snack and sippies 12pm Lunch and sippies 1pm Nap 3:30pm Bottles/ snack 5pm Dinner and sippies 6pm Bath, Jammies, then bottle 7pm Bed
